Pot Holders

Now that I have new dishtowels made,

I thought I'd make some new pot holders to match :)

I sandwiched two layers of fabric, with a filling of four layers of batting.

I don't like getting burnt . . .so I like my pot holders thick :)

On my sewing machine I stitched the hexie flower through all the layers

and then I stitched the edges.

After that I applied my blinding with the machine and hemmed them by hand.

 

That's it :)

I have been having so much fun turning my little scraps into hexagons.

Someday I'll have enough for a entire quilt.
