That evening, the actress took home the Montecito Award for her role as the writer-turned-literary forger. For her big night, the beauty dazzled in a black, sequin dress complete with a keyhole neckline. The mother-of-two continued her sparkling look with a set of silver pumps. Melissa's eyes popped with dark lashes, and a soft, pink lip topped off her make-up. Joining Melissa and Richard was the director of the film, Roger Durling. While there, the actress appeared on stage for a chat.
'I came up in the theater doing primarily all drama,' she said, according to KEYT. 'I don't prepare any differently. I'm a character actor, so if I love the character and I love the story, it's the same preparation to me.'
