I don't know why but one of my last days as a MAC girl was obsessed with the 1920s. I decided to do a Halloween take on 20s make up. This meant rounded eyebrows that were thinner then normal, dark lips, dark eyes and underneath lashes.
I used a lighter then normal foundation because I wanted to appear slightly drained and also as if I hadn't seen the sun. If you look at the history of beauty trends on this site then you'll see why I did that.
The eyes are made using 24hr eye base from MAC, Black eyeshadow from the NAKED palette from Urban Decay and hot pink (sadly not visible on this photos) from MAC. The hot pink is Royal Azalea from MAC. I know thats a blusher but there is nothing wrong with using it as an eyeshadow. Using a 217 to blend both together.
The lips were Diva From MAC. A dark burgundy lipstick combined with Auburn liner also from MAC.
The lashes are #7 from MAC. I reverse these and flip them upside down. You need to put a dark coat on the waterline and underneath first to cover the join. I love these though. They suit on top and underneath really well.
I would advise not using bronzer or blusher with 20s inspired looks as the fake tan thing hadn't really happened yet. In fact, most women tried to appear paler then they naturally were. I hated my brows though. This is the only thing i would change with redoing the make up. I made them more rounded then normal but I believe with more time in the morning - I could have made these very round and added to the effect a bit more.
I finished it by adding a dot under the eye.
